Youth Ministry at Palm Valley is a place for middle and high school students to feel safe being themselves while growing their relationship with God, their family, friends, and community.

Confirmation

Classes are available for all youth beginning in September through May of each year.
Students have the opportunity to talk about current issues they are facing while exploring sound biblical teaching to help them walk through life with faith.

101 Class : Bible Foundations

201 Class : Living Out the Faith

Confirmation 101 is all about getting back to the basics. In this class, we’ll dive into the Bible—learning what it is, how to read it, and why it matters for our everyday lives. We’ll explore the big story of God’s love, meet some of the key people and events in the Old and New Testaments, and talk about what it means to follow Jesus as Lutherans today. Think of this class as a starting point: a place to ask questions, share ideas, and build a foundation for your faith as you continue your journey in Confirmation and beyond.
In Confirmation 201, we take the next step—moving from learning about the Bible to living it out. Building on what we covered in 101, this class focuses on how faith connects to real life. Together, we’ll explore questions like: What does it mean to follow Jesus in today’s world? How can I make my faith my own? What does a personal faith life look like beyond Sunday mornings? Through conversations, Scripture, and practical examples, you’ll learn how to apply God’s Word to your everyday choices, relationships, and future. This is where you start shaping a faith that’s real, personal, and lasting.

Our vision for youth ministry is to cultivate an authentic space where youth can grow in their faith as beloved children of God. We seek to nurture young leaders by creating empowering spaces, offering impactful service opportunities, and providing thought-provoking Christian education. Through these experiences, we hope to inspire our youth and build them up as faithful leaders in both the church and the world. At the heart of it all, we are committed to cultivating a community where youth feel known, loved, and encouraged in their journey of faith.

Chipotle Bowl Dinner

April 3rd | 6 PM

Before our 7pm Good Friday service we will be serving up Chipotle style bowls for dinner. Free will donations will be accepted and will go towards our youth ministry.

Easter Breakfast Tacos

April 5th | 7:45 AM

Start your Easter morning with delicious breakfast tacos served by our youth! Stop by for a quick bite and support our youth ministry as they serve the congregation on this joyful day. Free will offerings are welcome, and all proceeds will help support upcoming youth activities and events.

Confirmation Sunday

April 12th

Join us for Confirmation Sunday as we celebrate our youth who are affirming their faith and becoming confirmed members of the church. This special service is a joyful milestone in their faith journey as they publicly profess their commitment to Christ and the life of the church. Come support and pray for these students as they take this important step in their walk of faith.
